Engine Emissions

Briggs & Stratton has a long-standing commitment to protect the environment and through continuous R&D investments in advanced technology, has reduced the emissions produced by its engines by up to 75% since 1995. The introduction of ECO PLUS™ Technology engines further demonstrates Briggs & Stratton’s commitment to reduce engine emissions.

Production Processes

Not only is Briggs & Stratton building engines which are producing less emissions, we are also continuously improving our production processes and aim to protect limited resources. That’s why we are using over 36 M kg of recycled aluminum in our engines annually and all our cast iron and steel components are made from recycled materials. In addition the emissions generated by the engine painting process have been reduced by 85% since 1990.
